Horse Stuck in Mud Rescued by Ore. Firefighters

PORTLAND, Ore. -- A horse is recovering after it became stuck in mud in the Cedar Mill area. Crews with Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue were called to a property on Northwest 107th Avenue on Wednesday afternoon. When they arrived, they found an older horse named Curio had become stuck after wandering into a muddy area. A veterinarian was also called to the scene to help with the horse, which firefighters said was exhausted and hypothermic. The group managed to get Curio out safely.

Crews with Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue were called to a property on Northwest 107th Avenue on Wednesday afternoon. When they arrived, they found an older horse named Curio had become stuck after wandering into a muddy area.

A veterinarian was also called to the scene to help with the horse, which firefighters said was exhausted and hypothermic.

The group managed to get Curio out safely.

The vet said the horse was in good condition considering the ordeal he endured.
