ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. --
Firefighters saved a man who was trapped in his Altamonte Springs home on Friday morning.
Fire officials in Seminole County said a husband and wife were inside their home when it caught fire overnight.
The woman was able to escape the blaze safely, but the man was trapped inside.
Firefighter said a neighbor called 911 to report the man could not get out of his burning home. Firefighters rushed to the Hillview Drive home and rescued the man while heavy smoke and flames poured from his home.
Rescuers transported the man to the Orlando Regional Medical Center. He suffered serious injuries, according to fire officials.
