No firefighters were injured when a car rear-ended a Raleigh fire engine that was on the scene of a previous crash Tuesday night.
No firefighters were injured when a car rear-ended a Raleigh fire engine that was on the scene of a previous crash Tuesday night, according to WTVD-TV.

The incident occurred on I-440 near Hammond Road at approximately 9:30 p.m. as the apparatus was blocking crews that responded to the crash.

While no firefighters were injured, the driver of the car was transported to WakeMed to be evaluated.

The rear bumper of the engine was damaged and it was unclear if it would be put out of service.
