Florida Airboat Crash Sparks Brush Fire

WESTERN MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. -- An airboat crash sparked a brush fire Wednesday afternoon in the Everglades in western Miami-Dade County, according to police. The circumstances of the airboat crash are unclear. Three people were aboard, but they were not injured, police said. Another boat carrying two people stopped and picked up the occupants of the burning airboat, taking them back to shore. From Sky 10 overhead, smoke could be seen billowing from the fire west of Interstate 75.

Broward Sheriff's Fire Rescue and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue were called to the scene.
