A Kansas firefighter died Thursday of an apparent heart-related issue.
Downs Fire Captain Jim Niles, 59, was stricken while operating at a garage fire, according to KSN TV.
He had been with the department for 18 years.
He is survived by his wife and two children.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 7-8:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Downs.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the same church.
Memorial donations may be sent to Downs Fire Department.
