Two People Found Dead in Georgia House Fire

COBB COUNTY, Ga -- Cobb County fire officials are investigating a fatal house fire in the northern part of the county. The blaze happened at a home on Crestmore Drive Monday afternoon. Initial reports received by the Fire Department stated that there were two cars in the garage, but it wasn't known if anyone was inside the home. Cobb County Fire Lt. Dan Dupree told CBS Atlanta News that firefighters were unable to enter the house when they arrived at the scene because the fire was too intense.

Cobb County fire officials are investigating a fatal house fire in the northern part of the county.

The blaze happened at a home on Crestmore Drive Monday afternoon.

Initial reports received by the Fire Department stated that there were two cars in the garage, but it wasn't known if anyone was inside the home.

Cobb County Fire Lt. Dan Dupree told CBS Atlanta News that firefighters were unable to enter the house when they arrived at the scene because the fire was too intense.

Once the fire was under control, firefighters searched the home and found the bodies of two people who had died in the fire, said Lt. Dupree.

Fire investigators are still trying to find out what caused the fire.
