Fire Breaks Out at Kentucky Liquor Store

LOUISVILLE, Ky. --

Louisville firefighters battled an early morning fire at a Louisville liquor store.

The fire broke out at about 5:30 a.m. Friday at Whit's Liquor Store at 15th and Broadway.

Broadway was shut down for about an hour while crews worked to fight the fire.

The street has since reopened.

The owner told investigators that an incense stick was left plugged into the wall and likely caught some surrounding items on fire.

The fire caused extensive damage to the inside of the store.

No one was injured.
