It was 3 a.m., and a semi driver was fueling his rig when he noticed flames in the cab.

Instead of running away, he jumped in and drove the truck away from the pumps.

As the flames spread, Ruben Eng drove it to a desolate area. He managed to hold onto the steering wheel despite the heat. Eventually, jumped out and ran away. He suffered minor burns to his arm and ear.

Miami-Dade firefighters found the rig fully involved, WPLG reported.

Firefighters lauded Eng for his quick actions to move the truck away from the pumps and station.
