Two Pa. Firefighters Injured Battling House Fire

BROWNSVILLE, Pa. -- A 25-year-old man and two firefighters were injured in a Washington County fire early Wednesday morning. The blaze broke out at a home along Vine Street in West Brownsville shortly before 6 a.m. A person living in the house suffered severe smoke inhalation and is being treated at UPMC Mercy Hospital, crews said. Also, a firefighters was taken to a local hospital with a back injury. Another firefighter was treated at the scene for a hand injury.

A 25-year-old man and two firefighters were injured in a Washington County fire early Wednesday morning.

The blaze broke out at a home along Vine Street in West Brownsville shortly before 6 a.m.

A person living in the house suffered severe smoke inhalation and is being treated at UPMC Mercy Hospital, crews said.

Also, a firefighters was taken to a local hospital with a back injury. Another firefighter was treated at the scene for a hand injury.

The names and conditions of the victims haven’t been released.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
