Two children were found dead in a house fire in the northeast Arizona community of Fort Mohave on Sunday morning, the Mohave County Sheriff's Office said.

Fort Mohave is about 110 miles south of Las Vegas in the Tri-state area near Laughlin, Nev.

Sheriff deputies responded to a doublewide modular home engulfed in flames in the 5600 block of Ruby Street, the sheriff's office said.

A 15-year-old boy came running from the home and told deputies his family was inside the house, the sheriff's office said. Deputies jumped over the fence and found two toddlers and the parents lying on the ground outside the house, officials said.

The parents told deputies that their two deaf sons were still inside, but the deputies were unable to go inside because the roof collapsed, officials said.

When firefighters arrived, they extinguished the flames. The bodies of the boys, ages 7 and 11, were found in the home.

The remaining five members of the family were transported to Valley View Medical Center in Fort Mohave.

The Fort Mohave Mesa Fire Department is investigating.
