MONROEVILLE, Pa. --
Dispatchers said a Monroeville firefighter was involved in a crash on his way to an apartment fire Monday night.
Channel 4 Action News crews spotted the five-car pile-up at the intersection of Route 22 and Route 48 in Monroeville.
One of the cars was a Monroeville Fire Department vehicle that was headed to the fire in the 1500 block of Stonecliff Drive.
Dispatchers said the fireman was evaluated at the scene of the crash but was not transported.
One other person was injured and transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
