A Tennessee fire chief suffered an apparent heart attack at the scene of a brush fire on Dec. 13.
Funeral arrangements are pending for Milledgeville Fire Chief Jimmy Tuberville, 64, according to the USFA.
The chief had been involved in firefighting for more than 20 years.
His last alarm was not far from his fire station.
