SPANAWAY, Wash. -- A live power line touching a Pierce Transit bus trapped passengers inside the vehicle after it struck a utility pole in Spanaway on Monday morning. Power to the line was cut and the four passengers and the driver got out safely. A live power line touching a Pierce Transit bus trapped passengers inside the vehicle after it struck a utility pole in Spanaway on Monday morning.

Power to the line was cut and the four passengers and the driver got out safely.

The bus struck a pole at 168th Street East and 18th Avenue East in Spanaway, Randy Stephens with Pierce Transit told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News.

Video from Chopper 7 showed a broken pole and the downed line alongside a shuttle bus. Later, firefighters escorted passengers from the bus, the video showed.

No one was hurt.
