TOWN OF JORDAN, Wis. --

A fire in Green County has cost a local farmer 100 head of cattle, along with a barn and a number of pieces of equipment.

Firefighters were called to the scene of the blaze at Mark and Delores Ulrich's farm in the Town of Jordan just after midnight on Tuesday. When they arrived, the barn was fully engulfed in flames.

The barn, which housed 120 dairy cattle, was a total loss. A John Deere Model 4640 tractor and Luck Now model 2350 feed mixer were next to the barn and severely damaged in the blaze. Another John Deere tractor a short distance away from the barn caught fire, but was extinguished.

Fire officials don't have a cause for the fire at this time.
