RACINE, Wis. --
Firefighters were called out to a street fair to rescue some Ferris wheel patrons.

Dispatchers said the incident happened at about 2 p.m. Saturday.
Firefighter said a ladder truck was called out to remove all the riders. Fire crews said 17 people were trapped, most of them children.
Investigators said a pin came loose from the Ferris wheel and crews had to stabilize the ride before they could rescue anyone.
It took firefighters about two and a half hours to rescue everyone.
