TERRY, Miss. --

Hinds County Sheriffs Department investigators on Thursday recovered equipment that had been stolen from Terry Volunteer Fire Department.

Investigators said $10,000 worth of equipment was stolen sometime last weekend from the Fire Departments Tank Road facility. The stolen items included saws, fans, tools and the Jaws of Life, officials said.

The Hinds County Sheriff's Department said a church group found most of the stolen equipment in a wooded area in the county and contacted officials.

Fire Chief Eddie Chambless said there was no sign of forced entry at the facility, so it could have been an inside job.

No arrests have been made in the case. Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS.
