Ohio Firefighters Save Kids from Canal

Two children were rescued Friday, April 30 after their wheelchairs rolled into a canal in western Ohio during a class field trip, according to the Piqua Daily Call. The children, a boy and a girl each about 11 years old, rolled off a bike path and down an 8-foot embankment. They were tossed into the water, and bystanders held their heads above water until emergency crews arrived. The children were transported to a hospital for evaluation, but did not appear to have serious injuries.
