Fire Snuffed at Calif. Shriners Hospital

SACRAMENTO, Calif.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. --

A small fire broke out Monday morning at Shriners Hospital for Children in Sacramento, but it was quickly extinguished and no injuries were reported.

The blaze was quickly knocked down by internal sprinklers, which resulted in flooding on the second and third floors of the Stockton Boulevard facility.

The fire was reported shortly after 5 a.m.

Officials said patients were not affected.
