CLEVELAND --

An early morning blaze destroyed a night club on Cleveland's east side Saturday, fire officials said.

Firefighters were called to Smoove Nightclub, located at 3875 E. 93rd St., just after 5 a.m.

The fire was so intense, 10 fire companies had to be called to the building to help extinguish the blaze.

No one was injured in the fire, but the blaze did destroy the entire facility.

Fire officials estimate the damage at $250,000. Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire.

It took fire crews nearly two hours before they had the fire under control. Nearly five hours after the fire was first reported, firefighters remained at the location checking for hot spots.

The building is considered unsafe and will probably be demolished before the weekend is over.
