Businesses Damaged by Fire in Iowa

OMAHA, Neb. --

An explosion and a resulting fire damaged three businesses in Corning, Iowa, on Thursday.

No one was hurt in the fire but two firefighters suffered exhaustion-related injuries. The fire erupted at Rich's Auto Repair shop.

The owner said he was working on a car and then stepped outside to talk to a customer. Minutes later, they heard the explosion.

The flames destroyed the auto shop and two neighboring businesses.
