Two Bradford City, Pennsylvania firefighters were hurt, one seriously, Thursday afternoon while battling a 2-alarm house fire.

Firefighter Greg Lewis was injured in a fall from the roof of the home and was taken to Bradford Regional Medical Center, where he was treated and released, according to the Bradford Era. The second firefighter, Todd McClain, was taken to Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, N.Y., for treatment of his injuries and was listed in fair condition. McClain was believed to have inhaled hot gases while battling the fire, the paper reports.

Capt. Chris Angell reported that firefighters were dispatched at 2:15 p.m. to the structure at 122 Euclid Ave., and found heavy smoke and fire on both levels of the two-story wood frame house. Officials said the cold weather and snowy conditions did not hamper firefighters' efforts at the fire scene.

Tower 1, Engine 1, both city ambulances and Medic 1 were on scene with 15 firefighters for a total of two and a half hours, the paper reported.
