MONROEVILLE, Pa. --

Emergency workers had to overcome frozen fire hydrants at a house fire Sunday in Monroeville, firefighters said.

The fire started at about 2 a.m. in the 200 block of Lilac Drive.

Firefighters said some of the hydrants were frozen when they arrived.

The fire was eventually brought under control in about two hours.

The American Red Cross provided two adults and two children with food and clothing.
