Prized Horses Killed in Tenn. Barn Fire

CEDAR HILL, Tenn. -- A barn caught fire with 15 horses inside in Cedar Hill Saturday. Firefighters could only save four horses, the remaining 11 animals could not escape. The residents of the home on Jones Chapel Road said the fire broke out when a piece of equipment backfired and ignited some hay. The homeowners say all of the horses were Tennessee Walking Horses who often participated in shows. The four surviving horses are staying in a neighbor's barn to ensure they have shelter in the bitter cold.
