PORT ORANGE, Fla. --

An overnight crash in Volusia County damaged two buildings and left one person injured.

Tammy Heotzler, who owns the Port Orange Mower Center on Dunlawton Avenue, watched as crews pried a car away from her family business.

I just saw the hold in the front of the building and had no idea what I was going to do about it," Heotzler said.

The front of the Mower Center was destroyed and an exterior wall is on the verge of collapse.

Police said the driver of the car that crashed into the buildings lost control after hitting another car at a nearby intersection. The driver of the other car was not injured.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they had to cut the driver from his car. The driver was taken to a local hospital. His name has not been released.
