MIAMI --

A driver was injured when she crashed her SUV into a fire truck parked at the scene of another crash on Interstate 95 Friday morning, fire officials said.

Lt. Ignatius Carroll of Miami Fire Rescue said a rescue crew went to northbound I-95 near the Northwest 69th Street onramp at about 7 a.m., after a taxicab was involved in a crash.

Carroll said the fire engine was blocking the outside lane near the onramp, waiting for Road Ranger to arrive and trying to block other vehicles from hitting the damaged cab.

A Nissan Murano hit the back of the fire truck, Carroll said.

Firefighters were inside the fire engine at the time, because it was raining, but Carroll said none of them were hurt.

The driver of the Nissan was taken to North Shore Hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the taxi was not hurt.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, Carroll said.
