ASHLAND, Neb. --
A Christmas morning fire gutted two buildings in downtown Ashland.
Fire crews were still on the scene at mid-morning. The initial call came in around 2 a.m. Friday.
Firefighters said their efforts were hampered by frozen water lines. Crews were called in from as far away as Lincoln.
A total of three businesses were affected by the fire.
