Calif. FF Helps Deliver Baby In Ambulance

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. --

On Wednesday around 7:20 a.m., a call was received by the Kern County Fire Department for a maternity.

The fire crew from Kern County Fire Station 52 arrived to assist.

Upon arrival, firefighters said a pregnant woman's water had already broken.

When the ambulance crew arrived, firefighters and paramedics assisted the patient into the ambulance for a transfer to Kern Medical Center.

A firefighter rode in with the ambulance as a precaution.

While en route the firefighter assisted the paramedic to deliver a healthy baby boy.
