Massive Apartment Fire Hits Texas

EL PASO, Texas -- Emergency crews were on the scene of an apartment fire in East El Paso on Saturday. The fire started around 1:30 p.m. on the 1500 block of Lomaland Drive at the Pinon Trail Apartments. Witnesses have told KFOX, flames can be seen shooting out of two or three apartment complexes. Scanner reports upgraded the fire to a condition 4 fire quickly after the arrival of firefighters which means flames and smoke can be seen from the outside.

Emergency crews were on the scene of an apartment fire in East El Paso on Saturday.

The fire started around 1:30 p.m. on the 1500 block of Lomaland Drive at the Pinon Trail Apartments.

Witnesses have told KFOX, flames can be seen shooting out of two or three apartment complexes.

Scanner reports upgraded the fire to a condition 4 fire quickly after the arrival of firefighters which means flames and smoke can be seen from the outside.

A total of 21 fire units were dispatched to the fire.

Scanner reports also said firefighters found fire in between the first and second floor of the complex.
