2 Killed in Mich. Thanksgiving Fire

VIENNA TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Two people died in a fire that broke out on Thanksgiving Day in a mobile home park in Vienna Township. Genesee County authorities said a man and a woman were found dead in the Maple Run Mobile Home Park, on Cedar Circle, just off Neff Road around 11 p.m. Neighbors told WNEM TV5 three teens, who also lived at the Maple Run residence, were not home at the time of the blaze.

Two people died in a fire that broke out on Thanksgiving Day in a mobile home park in Vienna Township.

Genesee County authorities said a man and a woman were found dead in the Maple Run Mobile Home Park, on Cedar Circle, just off Neff Road around 11 p.m.

Neighbors told WNEM TV5 three teens, who also lived at the Maple Run residence, were not home at the time of the blaze.

Firefighters arriving at the scene found that flames in the victims' modular home had spread smoke and intense heat to another, but no one else was injured.

The cause of the fire hasn't been determined, but the state fire marshal has been called in to help with the investigation.

Names of the victims haven't been released.
