ALLENTOWN, Pa. --A three-alarm fire damaged two row homes and a firefighter suffered minor injures while battling the blaze yesterday morning (Nov. 18), according to The Morning Call.

The firefighter sprained an ankle while inside fighting from inside the structure and is shown being carried out at approximately 7:48 into the video shown on the left.

All of the residents escaped safely.

Fire officials told the newspaper that the owner of the home at 903 North Penn Street, who was outside with his dogs, didn't immediately notice the fire that started at approximately 8 a.m. When he finally saw the blaze, he attempted to put it out with a fire extinguisher.

When crews arrived on the scene, flames engulfed the entire second and third floors of the row home.

The fire quickly spread to a neighboring row home because the early-20th-century buildings do not have a fire wall above the second floors, according to the report.

Nearly 40 firefighters responded to the call and got the blaze under control by 10 a.m.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
