Tour Bus Catches Fire in Tenn.

DICKSON, Tenn. -- Traffic along Interstate 40 eastbound was blocked Friday at mile marker 180 near Dickson after a tour bus caught fire, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol. Officers were at the scene at 4 p.m. diverting traffic around the crash. There were no reports of injuries. The bus was being towed by a wrecker when it caught fire. Officials with the Dickson County Rescue Squad said it appears the fire originated in the bus engine compartment.

Traffic along Interstate 40 eastbound was blocked Friday at mile marker 180 near Dickson after a tour bus caught fire, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

Officers were at the scene at 4 p.m. diverting traffic around the crash. There were no reports of injuries.

The bus was being towed by a wrecker when it caught fire. Officials with the Dickson County Rescue Squad said it appears the fire originated in the bus engine compartment.

It was not until about 10 p.m. that traffic returned to normal.
