Kan. FFs Hurt in Vacant House Blaze

KANSAS CITY, Kan. --   Two firefighters suffered minor injuries while working to put out a fire in a vacant Kansas City, Kan., home on Saturday. Crews said that the building at 2238 S. Mill St.

Two firefighters suffered minor injuries while working to put out a fire in a vacant Kansas City, Kan., home on Saturday.

Crews said that the building at 2238 S. Mill St. was in flames when they arrived at about 2 a.m.

The house sustained $50,000 damage and investigators are calling it a complete loss.

One firefighter suffered a knee injury and another injured his shoulder. Both were treated at an area hospital and released.

Investigators said they haven't determined exactly how the fire started but didn't think it was deliberately set.
