Man Killed in Pa. Motor Home Fire

YORK, Pa. -- Firefighters responded to a deadly fire at a motor home in York Thursday evening. Shortly after 8 p.m., firefighters were called to the rear of 33 South Penn Street, where a small motor home was fully engulfed in flames. Lying on the ground beside the home was a man whose clothing was on fire. Firefighters doused the flames, but it was too late to save him. The coroner pronounced him dead at the scene. The victim was described as a black male around 50-years-old.

Firefighters responded to a deadly fire at a motor home in York Thursday evening.

Shortly after 8 p.m., firefighters were called to the rear of 33 South Penn Street, where a small motor home was fully engulfed in flames.

Lying on the ground beside the home was a man whose clothing was on fire.

Firefighters doused the flames, but it was too late to save him. The coroner pronounced him dead at the scene.

The victim was described as a black male around 50-years-old.

His name is being withheld until his next of kin is notified.

An autopsy is set for Friday to determine the exact cause of death.

Investigators have yet to determine the cause of the fire.
