Conn. FFs in Hot Water Over Prank

WATERFORD, Conn. -- Seven Waterford firefighters are in hot water after a practical joke that got out of hand. Police said last September, the young firefighters taped a member of the Quaker Hill Fire Department to a board, then began shooting him with air gun beads. Those arrested were 21-year-old Kyle Mordick, of Quaker Hill; 22-year-old Alexandra Tosi, of East Haddam; 28-year-old William H. Betters IV, of Uncasville; 54-year-old Daniel O'Connor, of Quaker Hill.

WATERFORD, Conn. --

Seven Waterford firefighters are in hot water after a practical joke that got out of hand.

Police said last September, the young firefighters taped a member of the Quaker Hill Fire Department to a board, then began shooting him with air gun beads.

Those arrested were 21-year-old Kyle Mordick, of Quaker Hill; 22-year-old Alexandra Tosi, of East Haddam; 28-year-old William H. Betters IV, of Uncasville; 54-year-old Daniel O'Connor, of Quaker Hill.

All were charged with conspiracy to commit unlawful restraint and risk of injury to a minor. All were released on $500 bond and were scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 28.

Police said a 17-year-old was also arrested and charged with assault, reckless endangerment and risk of injury to a minor. He was released on $30,000 bond and was in court on Wednesday.

Police said two juveniles were also arrested and referred to juvenile court.
