Fire crews are investigating two fires in southwest Baltimore, one of which turned fatal.
The first fire broke out at about 8 p.m. Tuesday at a home in the 2500 block of Dulaney Street, firefighters said.
Crews found a mattress on fire on the second floor of the home.
Firefighters searched the home and found a woman unconscious in another room. She was taken to the hospital, where she died.
Crews said a firefighter suffered an injury to his hand while battling the blaze.
There is no word on what caused the fire.
Firefighters said they got a call about an hour later from a home in the 2200 block of Ramsay Street.
Authorities said a possible Molotov cocktail was thrown through the window of the home.
No one was hurt. Investigators have not said if the incidents are related.
