Apartment Worker Rescues Ga. Victim

STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. --   A worker at a Stone Mountain apartment complex rescued a person from their burning unit Monday afternoon. The fire started at about 3:30 p.m. at the complex on Old Front Road. The worker climbed a ladder to rescue the victim, according to CBS Atlanta's Michelle Marsh. The victim's clothes caught fire as they were climbing down the ladder.

A worker at a Stone Mountain apartment complex rescued a person from their burning unit Monday afternoon.

The fire started at about 3:30 p.m. at the complex on Old Front Road.

The worker climbed a ladder to rescue the victim, according to CBS Atlanta's Michelle Marsh. The victim's clothes caught fire as they were climbing down the ladder. There was no immediate word on the victim's condition.

Everyone else made it out safely, investigators said.

The Red Cross is helping several families who lost everything.

There was no immediate word on what started the fire or where it started.
