Fire Damages North Carolina Apartment Complex

The two-alarm fire that left an apartment building with significant smoke and fire damage.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. --

Firefighters are investigating a two-alarm fire that left an apartment building with significant smoke and fire damage.

The fire started at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday at the apartment complex on Blackhawk Road. When firefighters arrived at the scene, they said they saw smoke coming from the building.

The Greater Carolinas Chapter of the American Red Cross is now helping two families displaced by the fire.

No one was hurt. Police told Eyewitness News that though the cause is under investigation, it's suspected to be suspicious.
