Fire Crews Douse Maryland Townhome Fire

Crews arrived to find the home was engulfed in flames.

COLUMBIA, Md. --

Howard County firefighters battled a two-alarm townhome fire Sunday in Columbia.

The fire broke out in the 5400 block of Ring Dove Lane in Columbia shortly after 7:30 a.m.

When crews arrived, the town home was engulfed in flames, with fire coming through the roof.

No one was injured and everyone inside the home was able to make it out safely.

Firefighters said they were able to bring the fire under control by 8:11 a.m.

Some adjacent homes suffered smoke damage.

A damage estimate has not been released, and fire crews did not say how many people were displaced.
