TIGARD, Ore. --

People living at a Tigard mobile home park are on edge because of mysterious fires that are being set around homes.

Gilda Burks, a resident of Royal Villa Park, said her American flag, which hung from the side her home, was burned Friday morning.

"It's scary. When I saw that flag attached to my house and they did that when I was sleeping, I was very scared. And I'm still scared," Burks said.

A day or two before the incident, Burks said someone set fire to smaller flags in her garden pots.

Burks, who is involved in neighborhood watch, said someone also set fire to a decorative pine tree and that fire spread to a vacant mobile home. The blaze damaged the home's roof, she said.

Crumpled newspapers under a home were also set on fire, Burks said.

Investigators are advising all residents to keep flammable objects inside, she said.

Washington County investigators are looking for suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
