HOUSTON --

A three-alarm fire ripped through a furniture warehouse facility in northwest Houston early Friday, KPRC Local 2 reported.

Houston firefighters said the blaze broke out at the building in the 4600 block of Mangum Road near Vista Village Lane at about 2:30 a.m.

Firefighters said the fire became so intense that they had to get out of the building because they feared the walls and/or roof would collapse.

Crews said all the furnishings inside fueled the fire.

"Any time you have a fire like that involving cotton products and such, it's going to produce a lot of smoke," District Chief Omero Longoria said.

No injuries were reported.

Mangum Road was closed while crews battled the blaze.

Arson investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
