Pancakes Burn in Maryland

The fire at the IHOP was reported about 11:15 p.m.

TAKOMA PARK, Md. --

A two-alarm fire ripped through an IHOP restaurant in Takoma Park late Thursday night.

The fire broke out at the restaurant located at 7405 New Hampshire Avenue at about 11:15 p.m.

About 60 to 70 firefighters were called to battle the blaze. The flames started on the roof and spread, officials said, with much of the damage also in the kitchen.

No one was injured.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
