On Friday, $2.6 million in Assistance to Firefighter Grants (AFG) was awarded to 21 fire departments throughout the U.S.
This was the 43rd round of FY '07 grants awarded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
The goal of the AFG program is to meet the firefighting and emergency response needs of fire departments and non-affiliated emergency medical services organizations.
