A woman is dead after being trapped inside a home during a fire.

MILWAUKEE --

A woman is dead after being trapped inside a home during a fire.

Firefighters said that the fire broke out at about 6 p.m. at a house located at 3375 N. 26th St.

Investigators said that two people, a woman and her mother, were trapped inside when firefighters arrived.

The mother, who is 67, is wheelchair-bound. She was rescued by seven neighbors. Her daughter, who was 45, died in the home. The identities of the women were not released.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
