SHELTON, Wash --

Firefighters battled a two-alarm house fire in Shelton early Friday.

Shelton Fire Dispatchers told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News that the alarm came in at 2:26 a.m. and when firefighters arrived at the 1300 block of May Street they found a two story residence and two cars fully involved.

A second alarm was sounded with units from surounding fire districts added to the respnse.

Arriving fire units also heard sounds of ammuntion exploding in the garage.

The fire has been ruled accidental, but there is no word yet on what sparked the fire.

The homeowners said they are insured.
