One Dead in Fiery Missouri Crash

A fiery wreck is reported in the northbound lanes of Interstate 435 near Interstate 35.

One fatality is reported.

KMBC's Peggy Breit reported that the wreck happened when a tractor-trailer hit a truck a crew working for the Missouri Department of Transportation. A third vehicle was unable to avoid the collision.

Authorities have closed northbound and southbound lanes of I-435 at I-35 for the next several hours.
