It took fire crews about an hour to bring the flames under control.

Firefighters were able to rescue seven large dogs from a kennel located in the basement of the building.

Firefighters provided oxygen to four large dogs using special canine oxygen masks. A total of seven large dogs were transported to a nearby animal hospital for treatment and temporary boarding.
