For the first time ever, two different fire departments are working together in one firehouse.
Station 2 is located on Commerce Boulevard in Fairborn and is the new home to firefighters from Fairborn and Beavercreek.
Fairborn Fire Chief Mike Riley said the fire equipment will soon be replaced with a new quint and a new medic.
Beavercreek Fire Chief Mark Thomas said, Were able to get an ambulance and engine or fire truck to those locations which will decrease our ISO insurance and that will lower their fire insurance eventually.
