    Round 16 AFG Awards Announced

    This round awards 185 grants totaling over $13 million to fire departments throughout the United States.

    On Friday, more than $13 million in Assistance to Firefighter Grants (AFG) was awarded to 185 fire departments.

    This was the 16th round of FY '07 grants awarded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

    The goal of the AFG program is to meet the firefighting and emergency response needs of fire departments and nonaffiliated emergency medical services organizations.
