A rescue team pulled a teenage girl from high water after she was stranded in her car on Friday. Authorities said the 17-year-old drove past high water signs at Kipton-Nickelback and West roads in Wellington, and her car stalled. The girl was about 200 feet into the water when Wellington fire and the Elyria fire dive teams rescued her. The girl was unharmed. Another water rescue took place in Wellington over the summer when two teens became trapped by floodwaters. Wellington firefighter Allan Anderson Jr., 47 drowned during that rescue effort.
