A District firefighter was injured Saturday afternoon while battling a blaze in Northwest.
The fire broke out on the second floor of a home on Garrison Street and caused extensive damage.
The firefighter is expected to be OK.
No one was home at the time of the blaze.
There was no immediate word on what caused the fire.
